With your fingertips, make small circles across the entire breast, moving clockwise. Focus on any firm or tender areas, but avoid pain. Milk expression movements. Cup the breast with your hand (thumb on top, fingers below) and gently compress while sliding toward the nipple to help milk move forward. Lymph drainage. Place your palm on the breast and glide toward the armpit with light pressure to reduce swelling. Working on lumps. If you feel small lumps, gently massage them with fingertips in circular motions. Stop if pain increases and seek medical advice if needed. Key tips – Best done before nursing or pumping for easier milk flow. – It should not cause sharp pain; mild discomfort can occur with blocked ducts. – Avoid massage if you have fever, infection, or skin damage.
